Globalization

Globalization is the process of international integration arising from the interchange of world views products , ideas ,falling barriers of trade and other aspects of culture .The term globalization has been increasingly used since the mid-1980s & especially since the mid -1990s .The concept of globalization emerged from the intersection of four interrelated sets of "communities of practice " : academic , journalist, publishers/ editor ,and librarians. Globalization is the increasing interdependence , integration and interaction among people and corporation in various locations around the world .Globalization refers to rapid increase in the share of economic activity taking place across borders. It goes beyond the international trade includes the way in which goods/services are produced / created, delivered & sold & movement of capital. Here growing economic interdependence of countries worldwide through increasing volume and variety of cross-border transactions in goods & services , free international capital flows and more rapid  & widespread diffusion of technology.

Globalization can be a force  for good . It has the potential to generate wealth and improving living standards . But it isn't doing that well at the moment . The benefits from increased trade investment , and technological innovation are not fairly distributed . Globalization we know it is increasing the gap between rich and poor . This is because the policies that drive the globalization process are largely focused on the needs of business .

 Three types of globalization:-
(a)Economic (b)political and (c)Social .
(a) Economic :- Countries that trade with many others and have few trade barriers are economically globalized .
(b) political :- The amount of political co-operation there is between countries.
(c)  Social   :- A measure of how easily information and ideas pass between people in their own country and between different countries(includes access to internet and social media networks ) .
